The Venetian Morosini Fountain—also known the “Lion Fountainâ€â€”in the heart of Iraklion is a popular meeting point. The café just beyond it, Kirkor, serves up a delicious Cretan specialty known as bougatsa, a pastry made of phyllo dough, stuffed with cheese and served sweet or savory.
