Ode on the Willendorf Venus
|
"Shall I Compare Thee to a Backfill Pile?"
April 27, 2000
|
by Spencer P.M. Harrington
|
Oh, ye rounded form
Whose crannies I long to inspect
Transport me to your Palaeolithic lair
I'll run my fingers through your stoney hair
Lie upon your sabertooth tiger rug
Give my little toes a tug
Venus, baby, you make me warm
For you a lifelike monument I will erect.
