Inside the Great Temple at Tenochtitlan, archaeologists have discovered 23 stone plaques adorned with carvings of serpents and warriors. The carvings were probably made when the temple was built, between 1440 and 1469.

A reward has been offered for the return of a fragment of an Assyrian relief and a Roman marble head that were stolen from the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.

The construction of a wind farm in Wales nearly destroyed a Neolithic stone row. “As it is, the row has been cut in two places by the wind farm access road,” said archaeologist Sandy Gerrard.

A Roman cemetery has been found on an island off the coast of Tunisia during the repair of a gas pipeline. The cemetery is probably connected to the site of Meninx.
