A luxury shoe company has offered 25 million euros to restore the Colosseum in Rome. The problem: the Italian government requires corporate sponsors to organize the work as well.
Stephen H. Savage of Arizona State University has located copper ore and smelting slag at Jordan’s Khirbat en-Nahas using a hyperspectral instrument called Hyperion aboard a NASA satellite. Â
